John Lincoln
Executive Vice President
John Lincoln serves as the Executive Vice President, providing senior executive leadership for campus-community development, public affairs, alumni relations, administrative communications, and public safety at Colorado State University. The Executive Vice President assures effective implementation of the President’s strategic agenda; serves as primary executive representative of the President in the President’s absence; and provides day-to-day operational and administrative supervision of Athletics and Advancement. This position serves as a member of the President’s senior management team.
Aaron Levi
Chief of Staff to the President
Aaron Levi is the Chief of Staff to the President of Colorado State University. He manages the staff and operations of the Office of the President and advises the President on a variety of institutional issues.
Angela Tiley
Administrative Assistant
Angela Tiley serves as an administrative assistant and the President's office receptionist. She manages the office filing system, archiving, incoming documents for President Penley and many other office duties. Angela is an alumna of the University.
Ashley Hoffmeyer
Executive Assistant
Ashley Hoffmeyer serves as the Executive Assistant to the President's Office Chief of Staff, the Executive Vice President, and the Chief of University Protocol. Ashley is also the Presidential Intern Coordinator, and handles the Presidential Leadership Intern program. She has been part of the President's Office team since November 2004.
Jean Jenes
Associate Chief of Staff
Jean Jenes serves as Associate Chief of Staff for the Office of the President. She has been a member of the President's Office staff since 1994 and currently manages office staff and operations. She is responsible for oversight of budgets, human resources, and office and division projects.
Katie Kalkstein
Executive Assistant to the President and Chancellor
Katie Kalkstein serves as the Executive Assistant to the President and Chancellor for the Colorado State University System. Prior to joining the President's Office, Katie served as the assistant to the Vice President for Administrative Services, and provided support on many projects in the Office of Budgets and Institutional Analysis.
Peg Kowalczyk
Senior Writer
Peg Kowalczyk is senior writer for Administrative Communications. She edits The Competitive Edge, Comment Quarterly, and CSU Matters; writes copy for white papers, brochures, op-eds, briefing packets, and reports; and develops and implements strategies to effectively market presidential communications.
Cara Neth
Director of Presidential and Administrative Communications
Cara Neth is Director of Administrative Communications, President's Office, Colorado State University. She manages communications projects -- including speeches, white papers and special reports -- for the President and senior administration. She also works with constituents to resolve questions and concerns that are directed to the President. Cara is a member of President Penley's cabinet as well.
Nik Olsen
Assistant Director of Presidential and Administrative Communications
Nik Olsen is the Assistant Director of Presidential and Administrative Communications. He provides direct writing and editorial support for the Director of Presidential and Administrative Communications and manages various communications initiatives for the administration.
Ralph Runge
Accounting Technician
Ralph Runge is an Accounting Technician for the Office of the President. Ralph's duties include the processing of payment documents, financial record maintenance, internal control functions, backup reception, and other general office duties. A CSU graduate, Ralph previously worked for the Office of the Provost & Senior Vice President and has also served as a Teaching Assistant for the Accounting Department in the College of Business.
Dana S. Hiatt
Director of Equal Opportunity and Diversity
Dana Hiatt is currently Director of the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity at Colorado State University, a role she has served in since 1982. She joined Colorado State in 1978, serving as a Teaching Assistant for Black History as well as an Information Specialist in the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Deb McCune
Director of Protocol
To engage a variety of Colorado State University external and internal constituents, Deb and her team support the Offices of the President, Provost and Senior Vice President, and Vice President for Advancement and Strategic Initiatives through experience development and staging. She also provides campus-wide leadership for an annual constituent engagement and university events plan through coordination of protocol, standards, and best practices. Deb's experience at Colorado State University includes alumni relations, annual giving, donor relations, and development and information services.
